For the last few months I’ve been on an unintentional hiatus from blogging. This is not what I hoped or planned for. I love writing and sharing my experiences as a former business owner, my transition back into full-time work, the creative process, what I'm enthusiastic about, and generally making sense of my world. But this past winter/spring I was stretched way too thin, leaving me no time to even think never mind putting together proper posts. The original plan when I launched this blog was to post once a week on a specific day—first Wednesdays, then Thursdays, but eventually that became no days. I’ve learned that I can’t promise to maintain a weekly post when my schedule dramatically fluctuates both at work and in my personal life. It leaves no room for the unexpected which is where I ended up these last few months.
Yet despite my unpredictable schedule, the urge to write, process, and share is equally as strong as when I started the blog last year. I can’t ignore it. It’s something I really must do and find the time to do it. I recently mentioned to my husband that I do some of my best thinking when I’m having a conversation. I see this blog as one of those conversations. And I’ve definitely done some of my best thinking when writing posts. Plus, there's so much I want to share! I’m experiencing quite a number of shifts both personally and professionally that I’m eager to dive deeper into here on the blog.
So let’s try this again, only this time things aren’t going to be so rigid. Maybe some weeks I’ll post more, maybe some less, maybe some not at all. I'll be linking to all of my post from Twitter, Facebook and Instagram but if you don’t want to miss anything you can sign up below to receive them by email too.
Thanks so much for all of your kind words and support with the blog so far! I look forward to sharing again and growing together.
