Melissa first became interested in design and typography at Emerson College where she received her bachelors degree in writing, literature, and publishing in 2000. She later continued her design studies at Massachusetts College of Art where she received a certificate in graphic design in the spring of 2005. She is currently working towards her MFA in Graphic Design at Marywood University’s Master with the Masters Program. Most recently, Melissa started her own graphic design, letterpress, and bookbinding business: Pressbound. When Melissa is not designing she can be found teaching Desktop Publishing at Emerson College, printing on her Kelsey tabletop letterpress, or binding a book at her kitchen table.
